It’s Day 4 of my 30-Day Podcast Posting Challenge. In today’s episode, I share a real-life moment when one tiny spark helped me shift from avoidance to action. If you’ve ever put something off because it felt bigger than it really was, this one’s for you.

Today is Momentum Monday, the day we talk about the tiny wins, the sparks, the little triumphs, and the confidence you need to start the week. And it is also Day Four of my 30-Day Podcast Posting Challenge.

If you listened to yesterday’s episode, Finding Calm in the Chaos: The Sanctuary Sunday Moment, you heard me talk about my Spark Cycle — Spark, Tiny Triumph, Momentum. Today we’re going to build on that.

So let me tell you a funny story.

I’m a landlord, and one of my tenants recently moved out. It was time to check the room, inventory all the items like the towels and washcloths, make sure everything worked, and see if I needed to deduct anything from the security deposit.

And honestly, I avoided this task. I avoided it over and over, because in my mind, it turned into this huge ordeal. I thought I would have to look up the exact set the containers came from, figure out which pieces were missing, calculate the cost per piece, and the whole thing just felt overwhelming.

But yesterday, I finally decided to use a natural timer.
I turned on my electric kettle and told myself, “Okay, just check the room until the water boils.”

That was my Spark.

While the water was boiling, I checked everything in the room, and everything worked. And right there, I felt immediate relief. That was my first Triumph — just having clarity gave me so much peace.

Then, while my tea was steeping for five minutes, I took all the containers out, laid them on the counter, and sorted them by set. As soon as everything was lined up, I felt another wave of relief. Another Triumph.

From there, the Momentum took over.

I could clearly see which two containers were missing — one big one and one small one — and they actually came from the same set. I went online, looked at my past order, divided the price by the number of pieces, and figured out the cost in less than five minutes.

Five minutes for something I had been avoiding for days.

So here’s my question for you:

What tiny spark can help you get started today?
Maybe a natural timer like a commercial break, a song, the time it takes your coffee to brew, your water to boil, or your tea to steep.

Do whatever works for your brain.
 See you tomorrow.
