Momentum Monday

Tiny Triumphs After Emotional Overwhelm

Day 11 of the 30 Day Podcasting Posting Challenge

Welcome to Momentum Monday. I am really glad you are here.

Yesterday, during Sanctuary Sunday, we talked about the kind of tired that stays with you after a long holiday or a full weekend. Even when nothing dramatic happened, the emotional load can linger and follow you into Monday.

Today we are staying with that theme, but shifting toward rebuilding.
Not your whole week.
Just the feeling that you can move forward.

The Spark Cycle (Quick Refresh)

If you remember Episode 4, the Spark Cycle has three parts:

• Spark
The smallest possible starting point.

• Tiny Triumph
Celebrating that Spark, even briefly.

• Momentum
Letting that celebration carry you gently into the next step.

It is a simple, ADHD-friendly cycle that helps you move forward without pressure.

Why Tiny Triumphs Matter

When you are drained, your brain does not need a big plan.
It needs one clear place to begin.

Something tiny.
Something doable.
Something that tells your nervous system:

“You are safe.”
“You are capable.”
“You can go slowly.”

This is where Tiny Triumphs become powerful.

A Tiny Triumph is simply noticing what you did.
Not the whole list.
Just the Spark.

That celebration is the fuel for your next step.

A Real Example From My Life

I have been updating my wardrobe, and I had a few new pieces that needed to be put away. I did not feel like doing anything big, so I set a single goal:

Put one item on a hanger.
That was my Spark.

After I hung that first item, I felt my spirits lift.
That was my Tiny Triumph.

Because it felt good, I hung another piece.
Then another.
Before I knew it, all the new items were on hangers.

That was the Momentum.

Once everything was ready to go into the closet, I realized I wanted the new items to actually have space. So I made room by removing a few things. Then a few more. And the Momentum kept building naturally.

What started with hanging one item turned into creating a cleaner, more open section of my closet. None of it was planned. I simply followed the gentle lift that came from that one tiny Spark.

What This Might Sound Like For You

Your Spark might be:

• Putting your water bottle in the sink
• Opening your calendar without making decisions
• Taking one slow breath before leaving your bedroom

That is the Spark.

Then you pause and celebrate:

A hand on your heart.
A nod.
A kind whisper.
A tiny happy dance.

That is your Tiny Triumph.

From there, Momentum often shows up naturally.
You might:

• Wash the water bottle
• Add one appointment
• Take another breath

None of this needs to feel big.
It only needs to feel possible.

Your Reflection Question

What is one Spark that feels doable to you right now?

Even if your body is still tired from the weekend.

Your Invitation

Celebrate it.
Let that one tiny win create a little Momentum for your day.

You do not need a perfect plan.
You only need one Spark and one moment of celebration.
The rest will grow naturally.
