Momentum Monday – Episode 18

Rebuilding Momentum With One Simple Spark

Welcome

Welcome to Momentum Monday, and welcome to day 18 of my 30-day podcasting posting challenge. I am really glad you are here.

You might notice that there are two episodes available today. I needed a slow start this morning, and giving myself that space helped me get back on track. Now you have a little extra support for your day.

If your weekend was long or full or emotionally heavy, you might feel slower today as well. That is completely okay. Momentum often begins with gentleness rather than speed.

Today we are focusing on rebuilding momentum in a calm way.

A Quick Spark Cycle Refresh

We first talked about the Spark Cycle in Episode 4 and again in Episode 11. Here is a simple refresh if you are new or if you need the reminder.

Spark

A tiny and doable beginning. The first small action that helps you shift from feeling stuck to feeling in motion.

Tiny Triumph

Noticing and appreciating what you started. This might look like a smile, a warm “I did this,” a happy dance, or any celebration that feels good to you. These moments lift your energy and help your brain feel safe to continue.

Momentum

Following that gentle lift and choosing the next step that feels possible. Momentum grows when the steps match your energy.

A Gentle Reminder

If you forget to celebrate your Spark, that is okay. Celebrate when you remember. Your celebration still counts.

My Real-Life Spark This Morning

After several days of military duty, I came home completely exhausted. My body needed rest, so I slept in longer.
That was not my Spark. That was simply me giving myself what I needed.

My first Spark came when I walked into the room and gathered the laundry. It was a tiny action, yet it shifted my body and my mindset.

My next Spark was starting the first load of laundry.

After that, I paused for a Tiny Triumph. I said, “I did this.” I smiled. I did one of my little dances. It felt good to acknowledge the beginning.

That celebration created the energy for my next steps, which became my Momentum.

I started the second machine.
I vacuumed.
I mopped the floor.

None of it was rushed. I moved at a steady and comfortable pace. Slowly, the house became ready for the person coming to view the room, and I felt more at peace and more calm.

Everything grew from that first Spark of gathering the laundry.

Why This Matters

Momentum grows when you choose steps that fit your energy.
Momentum grows when you notice your wins.
Momentum grows when you lead with kindness.

Your Spark does not need to be big. It only needs to be possible.

What Your Spark Might Look Like Today

Your Spark might be:

• Bringing one dish to the sink
• Choosing one item to put away
• Opening a window for fresh air
• Gathering laundry or trash
• Sitting at the edge of your bed to begin your day

Your Tiny Triumph might be:

• A smile
• A deep breath
• A warm “I did this”
• A happy dance
• A high five to yourself
• A pat on your back

Your Momentum might be:

• Washing the dish
• Putting away one more item
• Folding one shirt
• Tidying one small area

Every step matters.

Reflection Question

What is one Spark you can take today that feels supportive and doable for your energy level?

Celebrate it. Notice how it feels. Allow your momentum to grow naturally.

Closing

Thank you for spending your Momentum Monday with me and for showing up for day 18. I will see you tomorrow for Tip Tuesday.

May your Sparks feel gentle.
May your Triumphs feel joyful.
May your Momentum grow with clarity, calm, and confidence.
